WHY COFFEE FROM THAILAND?

Quality Coffee for entrepreneurs and a better life for the Thai farmers

WHERE THE STORY BEGAN

Thailand is the ideal holiday country for me. In 2004 I came there for the first time and I felt right at home because of the nice people, good food and drinks and the beautiful nature. What also fascinates me so much is that many Thai are so one with nature and feel so connected to nature.

In 2008 I went back to Thailand with the dream to investigate if there was a possibility to start a coffee shop there. After all, I am single, which makes it a bit easier to emigrate than when you have a family. Unfortunately it soon became clear that the dream was two bridges too far. I soon came to the conclusion that it was wiser to first learn the language and also get to know the culture better. I then started a franchise coffee shop in Den Bosch, a city in the south of the Netherlands. Unfortunately it turned out that the quality of the coffee presented was insufficient. I was convinced that the coffee could be of better quality.

Because of my love for Thailand, and of course the coffee, I returned to Thailand in 2018 and started looking for my own coffee. A high quality coffee... a so called Specialty coffee. I found this coffee and in the course of 2019 I started to import and sell this Specialty coffee to the Thai hospitality entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. Specialty coffee.

The quality of Thai coffee has increased enormously in recent years. The Thai coffee farmer is constantly working to improve the quality of their coffee by using other process techniques.

The Thai coffee farmer still produces mainly for the local market but also wants recognition of his own grown coffee abroad. I want to contribute to this.

TOP-QUALITY COFFEE

Thai farmers have worked hard for years to achieve a high quality product. The third generation of farmers who have taken over the plantation from their parents and ancestors are extremely driven and passionate. They want to introduce the rest of the world to their coffee and give people a taste of their unique coffee.

DIRECT TRADE

TYPES OF THAI COFFEE

Thai Specialty Coffee is your trusted supplier for high quality Thai coffee beans.

Beside coffee we also offer services like espressomachines and barista tools.

HIGH QUALITY COFFEE FROM THAILAND

The Thai Specialty coffee comes from the Lanna area in Thailand. The plantations are located around the cities of Chiangrai, Chiangmai and Nan.

The area is characterized by beautiful forested mountains and a rich history and culture. This manifests itself in various festivals and celebrations that have been celebrated in the same way for centuries, with or without a cup of Thai coffee.
